Safe cycling at the Biebrich Castle<\/h1>\n

This time the participants of the Kidical Mass realized how lucky we have always been with the weather in recent years. At the beginning it was still raining quite heavily, so that some comprehensibly decided to cancel or rather stay directly at home. But we were not a few. The children of the city know and love the Kidical Mass, and many did not let a little rain prevent them from cycling freely, unruffled and safe through our city.<\/p>\n

This time the route led to the banks of the Rhine in Biebrich. The rain had already stopped long ago, when we could cycle along in front of the Biebrich castle and discover this place, once without cars, completely new. How wonderful it is there without car noise. Thus, the Kidical Mass once again offered an idea of what it could be like in our beautiful city if most of the public space were not overlaid and taken over by the noise and space requirements of car traffic, and if young and old could cycle safely. Specifically in Biebrich, we can all look forward to the four car-free September weekends in front of the Biebrich Castle. Then this road really belongs to the people, and we very much hope that further car-free roads and actions will follow. For safe mobility for all. As the children tell us:<\/p>\n

Sicheres Radeln am Biebricher Schloss<\/h1>

Dieses Mal wurde den Teilnehmer:innen der Kidical Mass bewusst, wie viel Gl\u00fcck wir in den letzten Jahren immer mit dem Wetter hatten. Zu Beginn regnete es noch recht stark, sodass sich einige nachvollziehbarerweise entschieden, abzubrechen oder lieber direkt zuhause zu bleiben. Wenige waren wir aber dennoch nicht. Die Kinder der Stadt kennen und lieben die Kidical Mass, und viele lie\u00dfen sich von ein wenig Regen nicht davon abhalten, frei, unbedr\u00e4ngt und ungef\u00e4hrdet durch unsere Stadt zu radeln.<\/p>

Die Route f\u00fchrte dieses Mal ans Biebricher Rheinufer. Der Regen hatte schon l\u00e4ngst aufgeh\u00f6rt, als wir vor dem Biebricher Schloss entlangradeln und diesen Ort, einmal ohne Autos, komplett neu entdecken konnten. Wie wunderbar es dort ohne Autol\u00e4rm ist. So bot die Kidical Mass erneut eine Ahnung davon, wie es in unserer sch\u00f6nen Stadt sein k\u00f6nnte, wenn nicht der Gro\u00dfteil des \u00f6ffentlichen Raums \u00fcberlagert und eingenommen w\u00e4re vom L\u00e4rm und vom Platzbedarf des Autoverkehrs, und wenn Gro\u00df und Klein sicher radeln k\u00f6nnten. Konkret in Biebrich d\u00fcrfen wir alle uns auf die vier autofreien Septemberwochenenden vor dem Biebricher Schloss freuen. Dann geh\u00f6rt diese Stra\u00dfe wirklich den Menschen, und wir hoffen sehr, dass daraus weitere autofreie Stra\u00dfen und Aktionen folgen werden. F\u00fcr eine sichere Mobilit\u00e4t f\u00fcr alle. Denn, so sagen es uns die Kinder:<\/p>

Der ADFC setzt sich weiter und konsequent f\u00fcr gute und sichere Radwege ein. Zeigt eure Unterst\u00fctzung, radelt mit. Die n\u00e4chste Kidical Mass ist am 21. September.
