The cycling club ADFC has been working for years to reduce the standard speed in cities.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The ADFC welcomes the fact that implementation is now starting as part of the noise protection concept, thus also reducing the speed difference between wheeled and motorised traffic on some main axes. The ADFC expects that this will significantly reduce tension and stress between traffic participants and improve safety for cyclists. A hurdle in cycling is thus reduced.<br \/><br \/><b>Exploiting the potential of cycling<\/b><br \/>\"The current amendment to the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) improves the possibilities for municipalities to set up cycle lanes and to reduce the maximum permitted speeds. The bicycle combines mobility and quality of life in the city. It is therefore necessary to continue the development of the network of cycle lanes with environmental lanes and cycle lanes, in particular on those roads which do not have a separate cycling infrastructure, nor to reduce the maximum speed by implementing the noise protection concept. Der Fahrradclub ADFC setzt sich seit Jahren f\u00fcr eine Reduzierung der Regelgeschwindigkeit in St\u00e4dten ein.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Der ADFC begr\u00fc\u00dft, dass jetzt die Umsetzung im Rahmen des L\u00e4rmschutzkonzeptes beginnt und damit auch die Geschwindigkeitsdifferenz zwischen dem Rad- und dem Kfz-Verkehr auf einigen Hauptachsen reduziert wird. Der ADFC geht davon aus, dass so deutlich weniger Spannungen und Stress zwischen den Verkehrssteilnehmenden entstehen und die Sicherheit f\u00fcr Radfahrende verbessert wird. Eine H\u00fcrde beim Radfahren wird so abgebaut.<br \/><br \/><b>Potential vom Radverkehr nutzen<\/b><br \/>\"Die aktuellen Novellierung der Stra\u00dfenverkehrs-Ordnung (StVO) verbessert die M\u00f6glichkeiten von Kommunen zur Einrichtung von Radwegen und zur Verringerung der zul\u00e4ssigen H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeiten. Das Fahrrad verbindet Mobilit\u00e4t und Lebensqualit\u00e4t in der Stadt miteinander. Daher muss der Ausbau des Radwegenetzes mit Umweltspuren und Fahrradstra\u00dfen fortgesetzt werden, vor allem an denjenigen Stra\u00dfen, die weder eine getrennte Radinfrastruktur haben, noch eine Verringerung der H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit durch die Umsetzung des L\u00e4rmschutzkonzeptes vorgesehen ist. Die aktuelle Reduzierung der zul\u00e4ssigen H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit auf vielen Stra\u00dfen in der Kernstadt ist f\u00fcr Radfahrende aber auch jetzt schon eine deutliche Verbesserung\", so G\u00fcnni Kerber, 1.
