Cycling climate test 2024: Detailed results for Wiesbaden and Rheingau-Taunus<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Results for Wiesbaden<\/h3>\n

As already reported,<\/a> Wiesbaden is only in midfield in the nationwide ADFC cycling climate test 2024. The cyclists rate the \u2018bicycle climate\u2019 in Wiesbaden unchanged compared to 2022 with a \u2018smooth four\u2019 (from 3.95 to 3.98).<\/p>\n

The detailed results now available offer further exciting information. For example, the free use of bicycles in public transport and the one-way roads open to cyclists on both sides are rated as strengths by the participants. On the other hand, the factor of fun while cycling and the acceptance as a traffic participant are among the weak points. In particular, the lack of acceptance is one of the most important topics from the point of view of the respondents, followed by actions and campaigns for cycling.<\/p>\n

By means of a questionnaire, municipalities also had the opportunity to name outstanding projects in the field of cycling promotion as well as current measures to promote cycling. From the point of view of the city of Wiesbaden, the environmental track on the 1. Ring as an outstanding project for the promotion of cycling. The improvement of existing cycling infrastructure and improvements for cyclists in mixed traffic are also among the current infrastructure measures.<\/p>\n

Results for Eltville<\/h3>\n

The Cycling conditions in Eltville<\/a> assess the participants of the 2024 ADFC Cycling Climate Test with 4.15 on a school grade scale. This is a slight deterioration compared to the grade 4.0 in 2022. For the Rheingau-Taunus district, this result is almost the bottom line, only Idstein (4.25) and Taunusstein (4.35) score even worse.<\/p>\n

In particular, the unfavourable traffic light switching for cyclists (5.0) as well as the insufficient control of stationary traffic (4.9) are poorly evaluated. On the other hand, the one-way streets open in the opposite direction and the accessibility of the city center are among the strengths of the city.<\/p>\n

In the questionnaire for the municipalities, the city of Eltville mentions the improvement of existing cycling infrastructure as well as the new construction or upgrading of bicycle parking facilities as important infrastructure measures for promoting cycling.<\/p>\n

The results not only describe the current state of the cycling infrastructure, but also serve as an important basis for further measures of the ADFC Wiesbaden\/Rheingau-Taunus. Among other things, the city of Wiesbaden's cycling office has already signalled great interest in the results of the survey and initiated an exchange with the aim of further improving the cycling infrastructure. Furthermore, the results give important indications on which focal points we as ADFC should focus, especially with regard to the demand for a better bicycle infrastructure in Wiesbaden and the Rheingau-Taunus district.<\/p>\n

Facts and figures about the ADFC cycling climate test<\/h3>\n

The ADFC cycling climate test is the largest survey on cycling satisfaction in Germany. It is held every two years by the cycling club ADFC with the support of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport and took place for the eleventh time in 2024. In order for well-founded results to be achieved, at least 50, 75 or 100 voting results must be available, depending on the size of the city. The survey is open to all, but is aimed specifically at cyclists and is therefore not representative of the population. Fahrradklimatest 2024: Die Ergebnisse f\u00fcr Wiesbaden und Rheingau-Taunus im Detail<\/strong><\/h1>

Ergebnisse f\u00fcr Wiesbaden<\/h3>

Wie bereits berichtet,<\/a> landet Wiesbaden beim bundesweiten ADFC-Fahrradklima-Test 2024 nur im Mittelfeld. Die Radfahrenden bewerten das \u201eFahrrad-Klima\u201c in Wiesbaden im Vergleich zu 2022 unver\u00e4ndert mit einer \u201eglatten Vier\u201c (von 3,95 auf 3,98).<\/p>

Die nun vorliegenden Detailergebnisse bieten weitere spannende Informationen. So wird die kostenlose Fahrradmitnahme im \u00f6ffentlichen Nahverkehr sowie die f\u00fcr Radfahrende in beiden Seiten ge\u00f6ffneten Einbahnstra\u00dfen von den Teilnehmenden als St\u00e4rke bewertet. Dagegen z\u00e4hlen der Faktor Spa\u00df beim Radfahren und die Akzeptanz als Verkehrsteilnehmende zu den Schwachpunkten. Insbesondere die mangelnde Akzeptanz z\u00e4hlt aus Sicht der Befragten zu den wichtigsten Themen, gefolgt von Aktionen und Kampagnen zum Radfahren.<\/p>

Aber auch die Kommunen hatten mittels eines Fragebogens die M\u00f6glichkeit, herausragende Projekte der Radverkehrsf\u00f6rderung sowie aktuelle Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Radverkehrsf\u00f6rderung zu benennen. So gilt aus Sicht der Stadt Wiesbaden die Umweltspur auf dem 1. Ring als herausragendes Projekt der Radverkehrsf\u00f6rderung. Die Verbesserung bestehender Radinfrastruktur und Verbesserungen f\u00fcr Radfahrende im Mischverkehr z\u00e4hlen zudem zu den aktuellen Infrastrukturma\u00dfnahmen.<\/p>

Ergebnisse f\u00fcr Eltville<\/h3>

Die Bedingungen f\u00fcr Radfahrende in Eltville<\/a> bewerten die Teilnehmenden des ADFC-Fahrradklima-Tests 2024 mit 4,15 auf einer Schulnoten-Skala. Das ist eine leichte Verschlechterung gegen\u00fcber der Note 4,0 im Jahr 2022. F\u00fcr den Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis ist dieses Ergebnis fast das Schlusslicht, nur Idstein (4,25) und Taunusstein (4,35) schneiden noch schlechter ab.<\/p>

Insbesondere die ung\u00fcnstige Ampelschaltung f\u00fcr Radfahrende (5,0) sowie die unzureichende Kontrolle des ruhenden Verkehrs (4,9) werden schlecht bewertet. Demgegen\u00fcber z\u00e4hlen die in Gegenrichtung ge\u00f6ffneten Einbahnstra\u00dfen und die Erreichbarkeit des Stadtzentrums zu den St\u00e4rken der Stadt.<\/p>

In dem Fragebogen f\u00fcr die Kommunen nennt die Stadt Eltville die Verbesserung bestehender Radinfrastruktur sowie den Neubau bzw. die Aufwertung von Radabstellanlagen als wichtige Infrastrukturma\u00dfnahmen zur Radverkehrsf\u00f6rderung.<\/p>

FKT-Ergebnisse sind eine wichtige Grundlage f\u00fcr unser Engagement<\/h3>

Die Ergebnisse beschreiben aber nicht nur den derzeitigen Stand der Radverkehrsinfrastruktur, sondern dienen auch als wichtige Grundlage f\u00fcr weitere Ma\u00dfnahmen des ADFC Wiesbaden\/Rheingau-Taunus. So hat unter anderem das Radb\u00fcro der Stadt Wiesbaden bereits gro\u00dfes Interesse an den Ergebnissen der Befragung signalisiert und einen Austausch initiiert mit dem Ziel, die Radinfrastruktur weiter zu verbessern. Ferner geben die Ergebnisse wichtige Hinweise, auf welche Schwerpunkte wir uns als ADFC fokussieren sollten, insbesondere hinsichtlich der Forderung nach einer besseren Fahrradinfrastruktur in Wiesbaden und im Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis.<\/p>

Zahlen und Fakten zum ADFC-Fahrradklima-Test<\/h3>

Der ADFC-Fahrradklima-Test ist die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Umfrage zur Zufriedenheit der Radfahrenden in Deutschland. Er wird vom Fahrradclub ADFC alle zwei Jahre mit Unterst\u00fctzung des Bundesministeriums f\u00fcr Digitales und Verkehr durchgef\u00fchrt und fand 2024 zum elften Mal statt. Damit fundierte Ergebnisse erzielt werden k\u00f6nnen, m\u00fcssen je nach Stadtgr\u00f6\u00dfe mindestens 50, 75 oder 100 Abstimmungsergebnisse vorliegen. Die Umfrage ist offen f\u00fcr alle, richtet sich jedoch speziell an die Radfahrenden und ist deshalb nicht repr\u00e4sentativ f\u00fcr die Bev\u00f6lkerung.
