Wiesbaden is cycling \u2013 for an inclusive tandem!<\/h1>\n

Since 2021, Wiesbaden has been collecting jointly via the DB Rad+ app <\/strong>Bike-kilometre \u2013 and with every major milestone, the Wiesbaden cycling community gets a \u2018reward\u2019. The next big kilometre destination is the 2.5 million cycling kilometres: If these are reached by spring 2027, Wiesbaden will receive a high-quality inclusive e-tandem for free lending for all citizens.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A tandem for participation and cycling experiences for two<\/h3>\n

Cycling, chatting and laughing comfortably in a team, without fear of getting out of balance. Maybe after a rehab, maybe with the partner who hasn't driven for a long time. Maybe with a child, a parent, or someone with a handicap. Or simply with the joy of being comfortable on the bike together. This is possible with the BamBuk E-Trike Tandem<\/a>! \"BamBuk's electrically assisted tricycle tandem was developed specifically for these situations. For people who want to travel together - safely, comfortably and with real participation\", says the website of the special bicycle manufacturer from B\u00fchl.<\/p>\n

Cooperation between the Environment Agency, the ADFC Bicycle Club and Aktion Mensch<\/h3>\n

\"We want to make cycling possible for all cycling enthusiasts \u2013 and together with the Wiesbaden Environment Agency, we have submitted an application to Aktion Mensch to be able to purchase an inclusive e-tandem for Wiesbaden\", says Markus Pl\u00fcmer from the board of the ADFC Fahrrad-Club Wiesbaden\/Rheingau-Taunus e.V. The high-quality e-tandem from the bicycle manufactory BamBuk should - according to the plan - from spring 2027 via the LILJA Platform of the ADFC<\/a> be bookable \u2013 and can then be borrowed free of charge. \u201cWe are planning to cooperate with the Orangerie Aukammtal des Facettenwerks for the rental, where the new tandem will first be stationed\u201d, says Pl\u00fcmer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

DB Rad+ Challenge: 2.5 million kilometers of bicycles<\/h3>\n

First of all, however, it is still necessary to trample vigorously over the winter! Because in order to get the inclusive tandem, Wiesbaden first has to create the 2.5 million kilometers in the DB Rad+ app. \u2018Currently, the odometer in the DB Rad+ app shows 2,325,000 kilometers \u2013 so there are still about 175,000 kilometers missing until the big milestone,\u2019 explains Hella Frey from the Environment Agency. \u2018If Wiesbaden stays tuned over the winter and pedals diligently, we can already achieve the 2.5 million mark at the start of the season in March.\u2019 In October 2026, more than 46,000 kilometers had last come together. The motto from now on is: Turn on the bike and DB Rad+ app so that the bike kilometers are counted for the milestone!\u00a0<\/p>\n

DB Rad+ Challenge: 2,5 Millionen Fahrradkilometer<\/h3>

Zun\u00e4chst muss aber noch \u00fcber den Winter kr\u00e4ftig gestrampelt werden! Denn um das inklusive Tandem zu bekommen, muss Wiesbaden erst mal die 2,5 Millionen Kilometer in der DB Rad+ App schaffen. \"Aktuell zeigt der Kilometerz\u00e4hler in der DB Rad+ App 2.325.000 Kilometer an - es fehlen also noch ca. 175.000 Kilometer bis zum gro\u00dfen Meilenstein\", erkl\u00e4rt Hella Frey vom Umweltamt. \"Wenn Wiesbaden \u00fcber den Winter dran bleibt und flei\u00dfig in die Pedale tritt, schaffen wir die Marke von 2,5 Millionen bereits zum Saisonstart im M\u00e4rz.\" Im Oktober 2026 waren zuletzt \u00fcber 46.000 Kilometer zusammengekommen.
