Who we are and what we want …

Our active members are committed to the interests of leisure and everyday cyclists. Especially in this area there is still much to be achieved, e.g. with regard to the complete expansion of the road networks in the municipalities or well-recognized bicycle path directions. We demand safe and comfortable cycling infrastructure for cyclists of all ages.

To ensure that you get to your destination well on your daily routes and on holiday, we do lobbying for the bike, on site and nationwide. The work of the ADFC ranges from lobbying in the town hall to the weekend bike tour to discussions in expert committees: always in the interest of cyclists.

On site, we work closely with local politics as well as with other organizations from the environmental protection and transport sector.

We have fun cycling

Every year, the ADFC Wiesbaden / Rheingau – Taunus, together with our neighbouring association from Mainz, offers an extensive tour programme. In addition, we have tour groups that take weekly trips together in the summer half-year. In our office or at events, there is the current edition ‘Discover Germany by bike’ for all those who would like to go on their own organised.

We offer service and information

  • With Lilja we have a free offer for cargo bikes
  • We offer bicycle codes for theft prevention
  • We organize bicycle exchanges

We are part of the ADFC

As an independent, non-profit, registered association with 1,400 members, we are a subdivision of the ADFC Hessen.

The ADFC is a non-profit association. Most of the association's work is done on a voluntary basis. Our members use their free time because they enjoy it and it is important to them to promote cycling together with others. We represent the interests of all cyclists and are committed to asserting them. Thanks to the ADFC, it is now possible to take bicycles with you on most trains. The ADFC is also directly involved in the revision of the current road traffic regulations and contributes its ideas.

Members of the ADFC support this work with their membership fee. For this purpose, they receive the magazine ‘Radwelt’ and legal protection insurance free of charge if they are travelling by bicycle.

Become a member is worth it!
