Wiesbaden to compete: STADTRADELN 2026

The STADTRADELN campaign starts in Wiesbaden on 31 May: thousands of people cycle what they can do – and together they can collect many kilometres of bicycles! For the final on 20 June, there will be a colourful cycling festival on Dern’s premises. The event is organized this year by the city of Wiesbaden and the ADFC Bicycle Club.

At the CITY TRADELS it is about cycling, competition and team spirit, sustainable mobility, new experiences and health. It's about being on the bike as much as possible for 3 weeks.

No matter when, no matter where – mainly cycling: ‘Measuring together’ is the motto!

The registration on the CITY TRADEL App or via the website stadtradeln.de/wiesbaden is very simple: join a team or create your own team - with colleagues, in the club, in the circle of friends - just take everyone with …
As a school, you can SCHOOLS register – this runs separately for primary and secondary schools.
And then you will collect as many cycling kilometres as possible together in the 3 weeks of action. for you, for your team and for Wiesbaden!

Sunday 31st May
Grand Opening with Family Bike Tour and Picnic

3 p.m.
Starting signal for the STADTRADELN WIESBADEN 2026
Opening with transport director Andreas Kowol at the Schill monument (Warmer Damm, behind the Staatstheater)
3:15 p.m.
Bike tour for big & small through the city centre to the cultural park at the slaughterhouse
Travel distance approx. 5-6 km – approx. 45 minutes, as few as possible inclines, accompanied by the police
from approx. 4:00 p.m.
Great picnic in the cultural park
with music, ice cream & coffee specialties and information about city cycling in the rear cultural park, Murnaustraße
Included: DJ, Eis Casal ice cream cart, Café-Mobil ‘Die kleine Seifenblase’

Wednesday 3 June
**After-Work-Tour & Bridging the gap* to the WELT-FAHRRAD-TAG**

*in cooperation with ADFC Mainz-Bingen

5 p.m. – Start of the after-work tour
Departure from HBF Wiesbaden and MZ-Kastel Reduit/Rheinufer Direction Schiersteiner Bridge
17:30 Meeting point of both tours at the foot of the Schierstein bridge and bridge to Mainz on the suspended bike bridge.
Tour through Mainz via Mombach and Neustadt – and via Theodor-Heuss-Brücke to Kransand in Kastel.
approx. 6:30 p.m. – Bike party at Kransand in Kastel
Happy ending together with a cozy bike party for World Bike Day.
Individual return journey.

Wiesbaden Cycling Forum

The cycling office of the state capital Wiesbaden invites you to the cycling forum, where you can find out a lot of news about cycling in Wiesbaden. You can ask questions and bring in your perspective.

Saturday 13 June
KIDICAL MASS – The Children's Bicycle Corso

3 p.m. – Start at Dern’s site
Departure accompanied by the police from Dern’sches Gelände
Children's and family friendly tour of about 45-60 minutes through Wiesbaden city center.
approx. 4 p.m. - Closing at the Kulturpark am Schlachthof
Happy end together with picnic, ice cream cart and games in the rear cultural park, Murnaustraße. The children get their KIDICAL-MASS stamp card for 2026 and have directly erased the first stamp! (Individual return journey.)

Saturday 20 June – 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The finale! Colourful bike festival on the Dern’sche Gelände
