ADFC BICIBUS during city cycling

Wiesbaden, 31.05.2023. In the next three weeks, city cycling will take place in Wiesbaden in 2023. As a special offer, the ADFC Wiesbaden organizes together with Sebastian Sellinat one bicibus per week. The Bicibus runs from Biebrich via the Gräselberg to the Elisabeth-Selbert-Schule (ESS). Those who go to school and their parents organize themselves via the city cycling team of the Elisabeth-Selbert-Schule.

"It is important for us to get more children and young people on the bike in order to give you safety in the traffic area", says Sellinat. “This motivates me and spurs me on”.
Riders have the opportunity to experience that cycling in a group is fun and at the same time safety increases.

Bicibus timetable June 2023

The Bicibus operates on Wednesday 7 June 2023 and on the following two Fridays, 16 and 23 June 2023.
The route leads from the banks of the Rhine (departure 7.30 a.m.), via the Gibb (7.40 a.m.), Klagenfurter Ring (7.42 a.m.), Kalle-Bad, Sauerland (7.50 a.m.), Freudenberg Kreisel (7.55 a.m.) to the ESS. The bicibus is accompanied by music.

Background ‘Bicibus’

Bici is the Spanish word for bicycle. The Bicibus is thus to say a bus made of bicycles: an organized ride in which children and parents meet with the bike at fixed times at stops along a fixed route and travel together in the protected bicycle association the school way. From 2021, the concept of the bicycle bus experienced a revival first in Barcelona, then throughout Europe.
