Wiesbaden clubs organize election arena on the subject of transport

Wiesbaden chooses: transport policy! – The party check on mobility

Environmental lane and public transport, 30 km/h, noise and congestion, bicycle lane, parent taxi, wrong-way parker and parking lot claw … Transport policy issues are hotly debated in Wiesbaden – in urban politics as well as by the people themselves.

Transport policy issues are discussed intensively and controversially in Wiesbaden, both in urban policy and in urban society. Accordingly, the topic of mobility is one of the central points of contention in the upcoming municipal election campaign. Which ideas, plans and priorities on transport policy will the Wiesbaden parties put up for election on 15 March?

On 4 February, four Wiesbaden clubs will organize an informative, entertaining political evening on this important question. A common goal: to look constructively into the future of mobility in Wiesbaden with the parties' mobility policy spokespersons, to tap concrete positions on various transport topics – and finally to know more precisely where you want to cross on 15 March.

But unlike classic panel discussions, there will be no endless duels of phrases on February 4. The audience can look forward to an unconventional, but no less informative format: In entertainingly moderated 90 minutes, among other things, 100 million euros will be distributed and the traffic situation at the main station dissected. The politicians position themselves in the mobilogram, answer questions from the audience and reveal their mobility vision for 2031. Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Bruns from the Rhine-Main University of Applied Sciences also speaks to a voice from science.

All interested citizens are cordially invited to:

  • Date: Wednesday 4 February 2026
  • Time: 19:00 until about 8:30 p.m.
  • Location: Citizens' Hall of the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences, Moritzstraße 17A, Wiesbaden
  • Parties: CDU, FDP, Greens, Left, SPD, Volt*
*The invitation was valid for all democratic parties that have at least three seats in the current Wiesbaden City Council.
