General Assembly unanimously elects new Board of Directors
General Assembly adopts amended Articles of Association and elects new Board of Directors
At the extraordinary general meeting of the ADFC Wiesbaden/Rheingau-Taunus on 20.10.2025, in addition to the election of a new board of directors, the vote on the revised statutes of the association and the adoption of the previous board of directors were on the agenda.
New Articles of Association for Modern Management Board Structure
In order to strengthen the working capacity of the ADFC Wiesbaden/Rheingau-Taunus, amendments to the statutes were necessary. For example, the statutes did not correspond to the new ‘flat’ hierarchy sought by the Management Board. Even in the event of an emergency, a low-expense possibility of replacements on the Board of Management had not been provided for so far. An overview of the presented changes can be found here .
After a constructive discussion among the members on the planned amendment of the statutes and the implementation of two amendments, the new statutes were adopted by the required majority. After registration, the statutes will be published on the websites published.
Previous Board resigns
As already announced at the General Assembly in April 2025, Gunnar Kerber, former First Chairman of the ADFC Wiesbaden/Rheingau-Taunus, resigned. In order to clear the way for a new election, the other three board members Michéle Fleckenstein, Karoline Deißner and Wolfgang Wrensch also resigned from their positions. The ADFC would like to thank the Board members for their excellent work in recent years. A special thanks went to Michéle Fleckenstein and Karoline Deißner for their outstanding commitment in recent months.
New Board unanimously elected
On the basis of the new statutes, a list proposal was submitted to the General Assembly for vote. The list proposal consisted of five board members with the right to represent and three associate members, who are also entitled to vote on the board. Within the framework of a brief presentation of the individual persons, the planned orientation of the ADFC was outlined. Among other things, it is planned to strengthen its presence in the Rheingau and Taunus regions and to intensify its commitment to cycling policy. Furthermore, the activities in social media as well as the active meetings are to be further expanded. But the new board would also like to devote itself to the topics of fundraising as well as service and technology. In an open election, the General Assembly unanimously approved the list proposal.
The new Executive Board of ADFC Wiesbaden/Rheingau-Taunus is now composed as follows (v0n left to right):
Wolfgang Lochmann (Wiesbaden), Karen Hellmund (Idstein), Karoline Deißner (Wiesbaden/Kostheim), Elke Tegeler (Eltville), Markus Plümer (Wiesbaden), Michéle Fleckenstein (Wiesbaden), Jörg Decker (Wiesbaden), Stefan Schäfers (Wiesbaden) (not in the picture).
