READ CITY TRADELS 2026: Wiesbaden can ride a bike!

The STADTRADELN in Wiesbaden is history for this year – and what a story! For three weeks, thousands of Wiesbadeners left the car, (re)activated the bicycle and collected kilometres together for climate protection and bike promotion.

Together with the cycling office of the state capital Wiesbaden, the ADFC Wiesbaden looks back on an all-round successful campaign. Time to take stock and say thank you.

The figures: Wiesbaden sends a signal

• 2,867 cyclists have been in 215 teams joined together.

• Together we have proud 591.950 kilometre travelled.

• This means a CO₂ avoidance of around 97 tonnes!

Whether a commuterinside on the way to work, school classes, clubs or recreational cyclistsinside – the resonance is clear: Wiesbaden wants and can bicycle!

Our highlights: Together it rolls better

Special thanks to all who have visited and supported our guided tours and events as part of the STADTRADELN. The joint exits of the ADFC and the Bicycle festival the Dern’sche Gelände was a great place for exchange, professional talk and the shared experience of our city from a saddle perspective. It has been shown once again: Cycling connects.

Now we are still looking forward to the reward – a big raffle for the Stadtfest in Wiesbaden – because all active STADTRADELNden can win prizes with a total value of 2,500 euros! So you can be curious!

Sensational success: The ADFC team is in second place!

A very special reason for joy is of course close to our hearts as ADFC Wiesbaden itself: Our own ADFC team This year has been an absolute top performance! Thanks to the tireless efforts of everyone involved, from our activists to the many supporters who have stepped on the pedals for our team, we have a Awesome 2. place in the Wiesbaden overall standings of all teams. A huge thank you to each and every one of you for this great team success and the many collected kilometers for cycling!

After the CITY TRADEL is before everyday life: What's left?

The kilometres driven and the amount of CO₂ saved are a great signal. But the STADTRADELN is more than a three-week competition for us. It is the annual reality check for the Wiesbaden bicycle infrastructure.

Many of you have diligently CITY TRADEL App and the DB-Rad+ App used to record their paths in and outside the city. This data is worth gold! Together with the cycling office, we will evaluate the data. Our goal remains clear: The paths discovered during the CITY TRADEL must be safe and comfortable throughout the year.

Our conclusion: The STADTRADEL shows the huge potential of cycling in Wiesbaden. Now it is important to take this momentum with you and to further advance the expansion of the cycling infrastructure at the pace of everyday life.
