Political film event: "Cycling Cities"

On June 12, politicians, bike fans and interested parties will meet at the Museum Wiesbaden for inspiration and exchange: The impressive documentary "Cycling Cities" by Ingwar Perovanovich will be shown. The event will take place as part of the STADTRADELN 2026 campaign.

Wiesbaden is changing. Mobility, climate protection and the design of our public spaces are the central themes that challenge us today and in the future. But how does the transformation to a bicycle-friendly city succeed, which is not only efficient, but above all more livable for all citizens?
The ADFC Wiesbaden, the Initiative Group Ideas for Biebrich e.V. and "Zukunft Schierstein" cordially invite you to this special film evening with "Cycling Cities". We look forward to discovering new perspectives for our city this evening:

Why this film is important for Wiesbaden

Cycling Cities is more than just a documentary about cycling-friendly cities. The film illuminates the 100-year history of cycling and impressively shows that successful infrastructure is not a coincidence, but the result of courageous political decisions.

Inspiration & Impulses for decision makers and urban designers

Understand best practices: Learn how cities around the world have overcome the hurdles we face in Wiesbaden today.

Quality of life in focus: See how cycling-friendly planning strengthens the local economy and massively enhances neighbourhoods, such as the districts of Biebrich and Schierstein.

Dialogue at eye level: Use the evening for informal exchange with experts and committed citizens in a relaxed atmosphere.

We are convinced: The images and solutions from ‘Cycling Cities’ provide valuable impetus for daily work in committees, local councils, the city parliament and the administration. Let's look outside the box (and the handlebars) together to make Wiesbaden fit for the future.

Thanks already at this point Museum of Wiesbaden for the hospitality!
